IN CONSIDERATION of the sum of y~,' 1.00, J. W. RUFIL and
JESSE M. RUHL, husband and wife, hereby grant to the CITY OF
A^-.ROYO GRANDE, an option to purchase the hereinafter described
real property, to-wit:
All that real property located in the City of Arroyo
Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, more
particularly described as follows:
Per of Lot lO? of Subd. of Rhos Corral de Piedra etc, beg at a pt on
the r~,Y line of fLalcyon Rd, SD°7~ffi'78.8'7 ft from the intersee of the
ATLY lot line of sd lot 1C7 with the SLY line of Halcyon Rd, sd pt
being marked with an ~€le as shown on map of survey filed in Book j
at pg 85 Rec and Sur in ~~ounty of San Luis Obispo, State of California..

Upon t?ie following terms and conditions:
1. This option shall continue for a period of one hundred
twenty (120) days from the date of the execution hereof. During
that time the said amity of Arroyo Grande shall have the privilege
of drilling and testing a water well located upon the above described
real property. In the event that the City decides not to exercise
the option herein granted, the City agrees to either pull the casing
on the test well or seal same off below the surface of the ground
and restore the surface of the ground to the same condition as it was
prior to the drilling of said well b;Y said City.
2. In the event that the said City exercises the option
to purchase the above described property granted under the terms
of this option, the City agrees to erect on said property a puihp
house to house the pumping equipment used in connection witiz said
well, which said pump house shall be finished with stucco and painted
w'nite and shall be maintained in a neat and orderly appearance at.-all
times.
3. Should the well drilled by the City on the above '
described property deplete the water supply of the well or wells
located on other property belonging to tho aforesaid J. W, Ruhl
and Jesse ;JI. Ruhl from which the hereinabove described property
has been taxen, the City of 8lrroyo Grande agrees to supply to
the said J. 4V. Ruhl and Jesse M. Ruhl or whichever of them sifiall
continue to remain on said property for a period as long .as they
or any of thorn remain on said property", all water used by said person
or persons at the Cities~~ cost of production up to the amount of
';~ 10.00•per month, it being understood that any water used by said
person or persons, the cost of production of zvnich to the City
exeeeds the sum of ~ 10.00 per month shall be paid for, by the
said person or persons above named, any provisions contained herein
to the contrary notwithstanding.
1+, In the event the said City exercises the option ha rein
granted the said J. H4. Ruhl and' Jesse N1. Ruhl agree to execute to
the said pity, all papers necessary to transfer title to the said
City of Arroyo Grande and in addition thereto agree to grant to
the said City of Arroyo Grande a right of way over the hereinafter
described real property mrhich said right of way shall be for the
purpose of enabling the uaid City of Arroyo Grande to install, maintain
and operate a water main thereon and therein. The property over vrhich
such additional ri ~zt of way is to oe conveyed in the event of the
exercise of the option to purchase by the pity of Arroyo Grande is
described as follows, to-wit:

street said right of way for the construction and mainterar_ce of a
water ~~ain.
In the event the City of Arroyo Grande exercises this option
it will pay to J. W. and Jessie M. Ruhl the sum of Fifteen hundred
Dollars ($1500.00} as consideration.
