GRANT DEED
THE PACIFIC 'IELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COMPANY, a California
corporation, "Grantor," does hereby grant to the CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE, a municipal corporation, "Grantee," for street
purposes, those portions of Lot 1, Block 10 of the Western
Addition to the Town of Arroyo Grande, in the City of Arroyo
Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, accord-
ing to map filed for record April 10, 1894, in the office of
the County Recorder of said county, described as follows:
PARCEL I. Beginning at the Southeasterly corner of said
Lot 1, thence North 23° 03' West along the Easterly line
of said Lot 1 a distance of 20.00 feet to the beginning
of a tangent curve, concave Northwesterly, having a radius
of 20.00 feet; thence Southwesterly along the arc of said
curve through a central angle of 90 an arc distance of
31.42 feet to the Southerly line of said Lot 1; thence
along the said Southerly line North 66 57' East 20.00 feet
to the point of beginning.
PARCEL II. Beginning at the Southwesterly corner of said
Lot 1; thence North 66 57' East along the Southerly line
of said Lot 1 a distance of 30.19 feet to the beginning of
a tangent curve, concave Northeasterly, having a radius of
20.00 feet; thence Northerly along the arc of said curve
through a central angle of 112 57' an arc distance o£
39.43 £eet to the Westerly line of said Lot 1; thence
South 0 06' East along the said Westerly line of Lot 1,
30.19 feet to the point of beginning.
RESERVING, HOWEVER, subject to the above grant, an easement
in the above described parcels of real property from time to
time
(a) to inspect, maintain, repair and replace therein and
thereunder existing underground communication facilities now
located within said parcels of real property;
(b) to construct, place, maintain, repair and replace
therein and thereunder along such route or routes as Grantor
may select, underground communication £acilities consisting of
conduits, manholes, wires, pipes, cables and fixtures; and

(c) for ingress to and egress from Grantor's real property
adjoining said parcels of real property.
The real property hereby conveyed is not necessary or useful
in the performance of Grantor's duties to the public.
