RESOLUTION NO. 1765
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE CREATING AN UNDERGROUND UTILITY
ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the City of Arroyo Grande has accrued Two Hundred One Thousand
Five Hundred and Forty Nine ($201,549.00) dollars in the Pacific Gas and
Electric Company Underground Utility Account; and
WHEREAS, the 1983 allocation was Thirty Three Thousand Four Hundred
($33,400.00) dollars; and
WHEREAS, the normal creation to compJeted construction of utility under-
ground projects is three (3) or more years; and
WHEREAS, it is of the utmost concern and desire of the City Council of the
City of Arroyo Grande to continually improve and enhance the appearance of the
City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande hereby creates an Underground Utility Advisory Committee.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager of the City of Arroyo Grande,
by appointment, designate the City Staff and Public Works representative. The
appointment of representatives of utility companies shall be designated by those
companies at the request of the City Manager.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the direction of this Committee be to maximize
the use of future funding allocations from these utilities by creating an under-
ground utility project in scope, size and timing to be mutually beneficial to
the City of Arroyo Grande and participating utility companies.
On motion by Councilman Vandeveer, seconded by Councilman Millis, and by
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Gallagher, Hogan, Millis, Vandeveer and Mayor Smith
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 22nd day of May 1984.
