RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISS:LON OF TH� CITY
OF'ARROYO GRANDE RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN AMEND-
MENT TO THE ZODIING MAP OF THE MUDTICIPAL CODE'OF THE
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AS'PROVIDED BY CHAPTE& 4 ZONING,
ARTIGLE 32 OF'SAID CODE,
, WHEREAS, the Planning Conunission of the City of Arroyo Grande, California
has held a public hearing on the application of Thomas A. Runels, etal to amend
the Zoning Map of the Municipal Code of the City of.Arroyo Grande as provided by
Chapter 4, Article 3� of said Code, to rezone al.l that property described as
follows from "R-A-B-3" to "A°P":
That portion of Lot 107 of the Ranchos Corral de Piedra, Pismo and
Bolsa de Chamisal subdivided by Jas. Te Stratton, September, 1873,
in the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis-Obispo, State of
California, according to map filed for r.ecord in the office of the
County Recerder of said County, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the South line of said.Lot with the
West line of the Arroyo Grande public road, (County Road No. 28), as
said West line existed on July 31, 1883; thence West along the South
line of said Lot, 582.1 feet to the Southeast corner of the property
, conveyed to W, H, Dowell by deed dated February 1, 1898, and re-
corded February 3, 1898, in Book 33 of Deeds, at page 570, records
of said County, thence North 10 3/4° East along the Easterly line
of the property so conveyed 343.2 feet to the Southwest corner of the
property conveyed to J. Ho Orcutt, by deed dated April 6, 1887, and
recorded April 6, 1887, in Book W of DEeds, at page 463, records of
said County; thence North 89°, 23 East along the South line of the
property so conveyed 145 feet to the Southeast corner of said con-
veyed property; thence North 6° 6° East along �he Easterly line of
said conveyed property 353.5 feet to th� post marked P. S. No. 3;
thence North 57 51' East along t1�e Southe�.st line of said property
133 feet to the Southwesterly line of Arroyo G�ande public road
aforesaid; thence along s�aid Southwesterly line South 33 1/4 East
425.3 fe�t and South 1 3/4° West 407e9 feet to the point of beginning.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission feels that the public interest.and general
welfare does require such an.amendment, and is in k.eeping with the Land Use Plan;
and
WHEREAS, the Co�ar►ission minutes, including a list of persons who testified
at the Public Hearing summa�y of fact and findings and copies of any maps
pertinent to the proposal are on file and hereby declar�d to bE part of said
Resolution.
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Planning Commission hereby
recommends approval of the amendment as applied for, for the following reasons:
x 1, Zone change to "A-P" District would be compatible to and in keeping
� with the surrounding developments and.zoning.
2. Zone change�would be compatible wit:! the Land Use Plan,
On motion by Commissioner Cole, seconded by Commissioner Ries, and by the
