ALTERNATIVES:
The following alternatives are provided for the Council’s consideration:
1. Approve staff’s recommendations;
2. Do not accept the project; or
3. Provide direction to staff.
ADVANTAGES:
The project is complete. Accepting the improvements will allow staff to close out the
project and return remaining funds to the fund balance.
DISADVANTAGES:
The disadvantage of accepting the improvements would be if subsequent deficiencies in
the work are identified. However, the contract documents include a one-year warranty
period for the contractor to address any construction defects that may arise.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW:
This item is not a project subject to the California Environmental Quality Act because it
has no potential to result in either a direct, or reasonably foreseeable indirect, physical
change in the environment (State CEQA Guidelines, Cal. Code Regs., tit. 14, §§ 15060,
subd. (c)(2)-(3), 15378).
