A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE ACCEPTING THE PROJECT IMPROVEMENTS AS
CONSTRUCTED BY GRANITE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE
TRAFFIC WAY BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT, PW 2023-02
WHEREAS, On December 10, 2024, the Council awarded a construction contract to
Granite Construction Company to construct the Traffic Way Bridge Replacement Project
for $10,799,051 and authorized the City Manager to approve change orders in the amount
of $1,079,905.10 for a total construction budget of $11,878,956.10; and
WHEREAS, The project scope of work involved replacing Traffic Way Bridge; and
WHEREAS, The contractor has completed the work in accordance with the approved
plans and specifications with no outstanding issues and within the approved budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande does hereby:
1.All recitals above are true and correct and incorporated herein.
2.Accept the project improvements as constructed by Granite Construction
Company in accordance with the plans and specifications for the Traffic Way
Bridge Replacement Project, PW 2023-02.
3.Direct staff to file a Notice of Completion for this project.
On motion of Council Member Guthrie, seconded by Council Member Secrest, and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Guthrie, Secrest, Loe, Maraviglia, and Mayor Ray Russom
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 24th day of February, 2026.
