March 28, 2018 – secured grant funding for TWB replacement
September 9, 2024 – discussed detour options.
December 10, 2024 – awarded project
May 17, 2025 – began detour
December 17, 2025 – removed detour
February 24, 2026 – project accepted

Detour Elements
Installed a temporary traffic signal light at the Bridge Street and East Branch Street intersection, closed Nevada Street at Branch Street, and made Bridge Street one-way.
Installed a temporary traffic signal on Fair Oaks Avenue at the southbound Highway 101 offramp.
Installed a temporary traffic circle on Fair Oaks Avenue in front of the middle driveway to the AGHS parking lot, intended to be removed in the summer of 2026.

Bridge Street/Branch Street - make no changes - do not reinstall the traffic signal and keep Nevada Street open.
Fair Oaks Avenue/Highway 101/Orchard Street – make no changes – this effort could be prioritized at a later date if feasibility, budgeting, and scheduling factors are clarified.
AGHS temporary traffic circle - leave the temporary traffic circle in place at this time:
add speed feedback signs
increase education and enforcement
remove two trees
work towards installing a larger, more permanent roundabout
as space is obtained or
becomes available through
cooperative collaboration or
as a result of development.
