AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING
C!JAPTER 3 OF TITLE 4 OF THE ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL
CODE BY ADDING SECTIONS 4-3.15 AND 4-3.16 OF THE
ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO PARKING
AND TIL~FFIC COMMISSION AUTHORITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1, Chapter 3 of Title 4 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code is
amended by adding Section 15 thereto to read as follows:

The Parking and Traffic Commission may from time to time prohibit, by
motion or resolution, the stopping or parking of vehicles within twenty feet
(20') of any intersection and within twenty feet (20') of any commercial drive-
way within the City. Such restriction may be effectuated by motion or resolution
of said Commission.
S,ECTION 2: Chapter 3 of Title 4 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code is
amended by adding Section 16 thereto to read as follows:
Section 4-3.16 Anneal
Any prohibition established pursuant to this chapter by the Parking and
Traffic Commission will become final unless the property owner files a written
notice of appeal fro~ the determination of said commission to the City Council
with the City Clerk within fifteen (15) days of being notified of the prohibition.
For purposes of this section, a property owner is deemed notified of commission
action when written notice of said action is mailed to the property owner or
when the curb is marked to designate no parking, whichever occurs first. In the
event such an appeal to the Council is filed, a hearing shall be held before the
C ounei L At least ten (10) days prior to the date set for such hearing the City
Clerk shall mail a notice of the time of said hearing by certified or registered
mail, return receipt requested, to the owner of the affected parcel or parcels
as shown on the last equalized assessment roll. The decision of the City
Council shall be final.
SECTION 3: l~is Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30)
days after its passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage it shall
be published once, together with the names of the Councilmen voting thereon, in
the Five Cities Times-Prees-Recorder.
On motion of Councilman de Leon, seconded by Councilman Spierling and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
