MINUTES
REORGANIZATION MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 4, 1990
CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 215 EAST BRANCH STREET
ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA
The City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande met at 7:30 P.M.
for a Council Reorganization meeting, with Mayor Mark M. Millis
presiding. All Council Members were present. Staff Members present
were City Manager Chris Christiansen, Assistant City Attorney
Deborah Schultz and City Clerk Nancy Davis.
` �***�T AND INVOCATION
Mayor Millis led the Pledge of Allegiance to Our Flag, and the
Rev. Paul Bautts of Bethel Baptist Church delivered the Invocation.
It was moved y Dou Smith (5-0-0, Dougall, Smith, Olsen,
bgall / Moots and Millis voting aye) to approve Resolution No. 2432
Accepting the San Luis Obispo County Clerkos Certificate -Results of
Canvass of All Votes Cast at the General Election November 60 1990,
City of Arroyo Grande.
Oaths of Office were administered by the City Clerk to Mayor
Moots and Olsen, who were elected
Millis and Council Members
November 6, 1990 at the General Municipal Election.
It was moved by Dougall/Smith, and the motion passed, to
select Council Member Gene Moots to serve as Mayor Pro Tem for a
term of two years. _-
Council Member Moots thanked his campaign chairman Ed Cox and
his campaign treasurer Bill Gerrish. He said future issues with
which the Council will have to deal include growth management,
water, traffic, air quality and quality of life.
Council Member Olsen thanked her campaign manager Norman
Stevens and campaign treasurer Drew Brandy, and promised to uphold
honest, open government to serve all citizens.
Mayor Millis thanked his campaign chairman Bernie pBomisedurkeo his
campaign treasurer Paulette McCann and his family.
