ORDINANCE NO. ;,:8~
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE PROVIDING FOR
THE AIOrEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY TO THE
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, STATING THE REASONS FOR AND
DECLARING THIS ORDINANCE TO BE AN EllERGENCY ORDINANCE
TO BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Ceuncil of the City of Arroyo
Grande, State of California, County of San Luis Obispo, as foI-
lows :
Section 1. The hereinafter described parcel cf real proper-
ty designated as "FAIR OAKS No.8," being uninhabited Territory
within the provisions of Section 35303 of the Governaent Code
of the State of California, contiguous to the City of Arroyo
Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, be and
the same is herewith annexed to the City of Arroyo Grande, County
of San Luis Obispo, State of California. Said property is describ-
ed as follows, to-wit:
In the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, those por-
tions of Blocks 10, 11 and 12 and vacate. Streets of Beckett's
Addition to the Town of Oceano, according to the Map thereof re-
corded February 4, 1908, in Book 1, at Page 103 of Records of
Surveys of said County and further described as tel.lows:
Beginning at the North West corner of Tract No. 75
as recorded in Book 5 of Maps at page 89, Records of
said County, thence along the Westerly line of said
Tract No. 75 and the southerly extension thereof S,
00 OIl W. a distance of 770.30 reet;thence West a
distance of 282.60 feet;. thence North O. 01' East a
distance of 820.23 feet in the Northerly line ot Farrell
Road; thence East along said Northerly line of Farrell
Road a distance of 282.60 feet; thence South 00 OIl West
a distance of 60.00 feet to the point of beginning, and
including all lots and blocks of subdivisions therein,
together with all alleys, public roads and rights of
way of record.
Sect! on 2. The area above described is presently in the pro-
cess of being improved and built upon, and its contiguity and
nearness to the City of Arroyo Grande ..ke it necessary and desir-
able to have said property included witbin the City Limits of the
City of Arroyo Grande as quickly as possible so that the planning

and building of the proposed improvements may be integrated with
and be accomplished in accordance with the planning, zoning, sub-
division of lands and building requirements and the orderly lay-
out, design and construction of streets, gutters, sidewalks,
sanitary and storm sewers and drainage facilities of the City
of Arroyo Grande. That unless said area is immediately included
within the limits of the City of Arroyo Grande, improvements,
buflding and planning may result which will be adverse to the
general orderly growth and development of both the City of Arroyo
Grande and the territory above described, to the detriment of the
City of Arroyo Grande and of the above described territory. That
for said reasons, this Ordinance shall become effective immedi-
ately and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage, and within fifteen (15) days after its passage it shall
be pub 11 shed at least once in the Arroyo Grande Herald-Recorder,
a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the
City of Arroyo Grande.
