MINUTES
ETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND REDEVELOPNIENT AGENCY
SPECIAL NIE TUESDAY, APRIL 22, 1997
COUNCIL CHAMBERS, W EAST BRANCH STREET
ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA
Mayor Dougall called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. All CouncillAgency members were
present.

City Attorney Carmel announced the following prior to the closed session agenda items:
a. Item 2(c): Identification of the litigation would jeopardize the City's ability to conclude
existing settlement negotiations to its advantage (both cases).
b. Items 2(d) and 3(a): The County of San Luis Obispo has threatened to sue the City of
Arroyo Grande and the Arroyo Grande Redevelopment Agency based on the inclusion of
certain properties within the proposed redevelopment project area. The Council then
convened to closed session.

Mayor Dougall reported the following with respect to agenda Item 2(b):
The City has agreed in principal to accept the offer from the Brush Poppers Riding Club, Inc.,
to purchase Lots 125 and 131 of the Rancho Corral del No. 075-31 013e Piedra, Volume 16ora purchase pri435 of ceoal

The vote of the Council was 5-0.
Mayor/Board Chairman Dougall also made some general comments with respect to closed session
agenda Items 2(d) and 3(a).
