PC R 11-2128 � RESOLUTION NO. 11-2128 IA RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE APPROVING PLANNED SIGN PROGRAM NO. 11-002, APPLIED FOR BY RANDY � STEIGER 8� REMAX DEL ORO FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 214 EAST BRANCH STREET (HISTORIC CITY HALL COMPLEX) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande has considered Planned Sign Program No. 11-002, filed by Randy Steiger of Remax Del Oro for property located at 214 West Branch Street; and .WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande has held a public hearing on Planned Sign Program No. 11-002 in accordance with the City Code; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed this project under the provisions of the �California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and has determined that the project is categorically exempt under Section 15311 of the CEQA guidelines; and � � . .WHEREAS, the �Planning Commission finds, after due study, deliberation and public , � hearing that the following circumstances exist: � � 1. The proposed signage is consistent with the goals, objectives, policies and � programs of the Arroyo Grande general plan, specific plan, and any � � applicable design guidelines or approvals and has been reviewed by the Architectural Review Committee and Historic Resource Committee and was found to be consistent with section 16.60 of the Development Code; and I 2. The proposed signage conforms to applicable development standards and . provisions of Municipal Code and will not be detrimental to the public health, ' safety and welfare; and 3. The physical location or placement of the signage is compatible with the surrounding neighborhood and does not pose a safety risk. NOW, .THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande hereby approves Planned Sign Program No. 11-002, with the above � findings and subject to the conditions as set forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and � incorporated herein by this reference. The City may, at its sole discretion, participate at its own expense in the defense of any such action but such participation shall not relieve applicant of his/her obligations under this condition. � Buildinq Division 11.The project shall comply with the most recent editions of the Califomia State Fire -�- and Building Codes and the Uniform Building and Fire Codes as adopted by the City of Arroyo Grande. 12.Building and/or electrical permits shall be required for all signs prior to their installation. Certain types of signs may be exempt from building permits. To determine which types are exempt, provide the Building Division with location and type of sign and a determination will be made. This must be done prior to the � installation of the sign. If a building permit is required the applicant shall pay permit � fees in effect at the time of building permit issuance. � 13.All electrical� work done on site shall require an electrical permit prior to commencing the work. .
