Allocation of CDBG funds can be made for a variety of projects as long as one of the following National Objectives are met: Benefit low- and moderate-income persons; Aid in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight; or Address urgent community development needs that pose a serious or immediate threat to public health or welfare. City Council| March 8, 2016| CDBG & Community Service Grant Program 3 3 2016 Grant The County has confirmed that $76,563 in CDBG funds will be available to the City in the fall of 2016 ($2,570 increase from 2015). The County will help the City administer the program. City Council| March 8, 2016| CDBG & Community Service Grant Program 4 4 Public Services Federal rules cap public service allocations at 15%. No applications received for public services this year. City Council| March 10, 2015| CDBG & Community Service Grant Program 5 5 Recommended Funding 6 Public Facilities $61,251 to improve ADA accessibility for the Woman’s Club Center. Specific Improvements include: Leveling the patio area; Replacing 3 doors to allow for wheelchair access; Constructing ADA compliant van-accessible parking spaces in the parking lot; and Providing ADA compliant pathways, including railing, signs and other necessary improvements.
