C~ty Council met in regular session and~,was called to
' order by the City Cl~rk.
Upon roll call Councilmen Conrad, S~hnyder and ~Nhitlock
reported present. ~iayor Gibson and Councilman Phillips abs ent.
Notion regularly seconded and carried, Councilman Whitlock
appointed actin~ ~~ayor.
~~iinutes of preuious meeting read and approved as read.
~Iommunications read and ordered filed. ?
This being the regular meeting for the first reading of the
Ordinance for Paeific Gas and Eleetric Company and upon motion
which was regu~rly seconded and earried, the readin~ of the
Ordinance other than the heading thereof was waived.
D~otion by Councilman S~hnyder~ seconded by Cc~uncilman Conrad~
motion carried, that Police Chief Norton be furnished with a
deputy to watch school crossing at a salary of $15.00 per month
to run until further ordered by the Council..
Motion re,gularly seconded and carried that the Council go on
record as favoring the Good r`riday Closir~g movement and urging
every business place to observe this part holiday.
RESOLUTION # 84
R`esolution accepting offer of C. C. Sharps, to purcha.se City
owned Fxroperty known and designated as Lots 4 to 16 inclusive
in the ~owe Addition to the City of :~rroyo Grande.

RESOLUTION #85
"esolution abandoning all that portion of Poole Street in the
City of ~rroyo Grande, deseribed as lying between Lot 1, Block
10, and Lot ~3, Block 11, of the Short b7ason and Whiteley Addition~
to the City of ~rroyo Grande, bounded on the North by Lot 8~ Block
11~ of said Addition, on the East by Pacific Coast Coal Company
property, onthe South by Lot 1, Block 10, of said addition, and
on the West by 'Alhiteley Stseet.
Passed and adopted by the following vote on roll eall:
AYES: Councilmen Conrad, Schnyder and Whitlock.
NOES: None
.4BSENT: biayor Gibson and Councilman Phillips.
Claims against the General Fund in the amount of $~65.5~ and
the ~~ater Fund in the amount of $412'J.04 were audited approved
and ordered paid.
No further business appearing and upon motion the meeting
was adjourned.
