T'he City Council met in special session with IVtayor J.S.Gibson
presiding.
Upon roll call Couneilmen Phillips,Schnyder~Menr~y and Lierly
reported present,~bsent none.
This special meeting was cal~ed for the purpose of talking
over a site and the plans for a new City Hall. R~Ir Ben Conrad
was ta have met with the Couneil but owing to illness he was
unable to attend, No definite aetior~ was taken but several aites
~ diseussed and further investigation was to be made.
IUIrs Mai B~lle Harper appeared and said she ~rras replacing a
parch and hadnt known about the Building ~rdinance and if she
might proceed with the work as she had a carpenter engaged and
would not be able t~ get him later on and also she had to be
away later. T~ie Council agreed to let her proeeed ~rith the work.
~lso George Voile asked to be allowed to place a couple of`
cement ribbons to install an ice vending un~~G. The Couneil also
consented ~to allov~ him to do the necessa~ry work.
No furtl~er business appeari~g and upon motior~ the meeting
was adjourned.

reported~+present.Absent none..
The minutes of previous regular and ~pecial meetings were
read and approved as read. ,
Mr J.~.Harrison~Manager oF the ~Nestern Hydro Filter Co; of
Fresno appeared before the Council and reported on the wa~er
softener which they produce and after explaining th~ different
plants he agreed to write a Ietter giving alI information and
prices for the ~ouncil to have for future reference.

asked if they might be of any assis~Atance in helping to secure
a si~~".for the new City Hall we hope to build.
Communications were read and placed on file.
The Clerk read the list of applications for building permits
whia~h included:George Voile to instali an iee vending unit~
I~ai Belle Harper~To replace an old porch~to cost $ 150.DO~J.F.
Kaar ~to replace a porch,cost 100.00~ J.E.Warren to install
20 ft of sidewalk,cost 30.04~Guy ~"1.Palmer to roof a porch~cost
• 15.OO~Geo.Voile to lay 40 ft of sidewalk on W.T.Whitlock property~
H.H.Page to build a garage ~ Fred Norton~ alterations on ~ house
cost 150.00~ Gearge ~ikers to bui~d a srr~.ll house~cost 604.OO~and
~`~innetta Mclaughlin, a sma.11 house to be bmmlt by ~Ir Wm.Peterson
present cost to be around 60~.0~ motian was made by Couneilman
Phillips ~seconded by Councilman Lierly ,motion carr~ed to grant
these permits.
The Couneil agreed that the applications for permits for side
vvalk on the street be made to B.E.Ewing ,Street ~upt.and be subjeet ;
to his appraval and also there wQUld be no fee charged where the ~
walk is on the street . A fee will be charged for sidewalk on i
private property. ~

St Supt:~ E~srsg was instructed to proeeed with the ozling of Ta~Lry
Ho Road~ Leedham Iane and the shoulders on V"alley Road.
No bids came in for the new motor and pump for the we11 and the
Gouncil instructed ~.E.Ewing to purchase and install a 40 HP motor
and suitable pump as soon as possible.
Claims against the General Fund for ~ 788.22~the Water Fund for
~ 633.82 and the ~ater Deposit Fund for ~ 20.00 wer~ audited ~approved
and or_dered p~.id. _ _
