County Subdivision Ordinance to the Arroyo Grande Planning Com-
mission, and they be asked to get any other informat ion and make
a recommendation on an Ordinance. Motion carried.
D~ayor Waiters reported the Recreation Committee appointed by
tbe Harvest Festival Association vaas interested in making ithprove-
ments for recreation at the City Park. The Council was in favor
of the suggestion, but wished more information on the matter.
Mr. I~cCoy ~vas asked to get Mr. Conrad and to look over the
drainage situation on East Brancb St. by E. C. Loomis and Son,
and to report at the next meeting.
Bills against the General Fund for ~5,04~.05i the Water Fund
for ~787.02 s the ~~-ater Depos~t~ ~.ind for ~8.00„ and the Capitai
Outlay Fund for ~6,000.00, were audited, approved~and ordered
paid.
No further business at this time Q motion was made by Council-
l~nan Dixson, seconded by Councilman Conrad, to adjourn this meet-

The City Council met in an adjourned meeting, Mayor°~Naiters
presiding. Upon ro 11 call CoUncilmen Dixson, Dammann, and C~nrad
reported present. °Councilman Clark arrived later.
A communication from I~ir. Kofahl and Baxter was read relative
to extending a waterTmair~ west of Alder Street to their houses.
CounciZman Clark was to investigate and inform Mr . Kofahl he was
to pay his portion of the 2 inch line which was laid on Alder Sl.
some time back. Councilman Clark was to report at the next meeting.
Councilman Conrad was to check with ~r. Deal on the Budget.
Councilman Dixson was asked tta ~iec~ on the asphalt tile for
the City Hall f loors, and also check on using the present City
Hall Building.
Councilman Dammann was to check further on the air horn or
fire siren.
- Mr. Harris ~as to ~rite the Southern Counties Gas Co. in
regard to a Quit Claim on the Pacific Coast Right-of-Way lying
west of 101 Hq ghway.

well and testing~of same from the following drilling companies
wexe opened: Jess C. Barnes Drilling Co.; Clark F. Wells Corp.;
C. J. Lono~ell„ and Todd and Yeager. Af ter checking the bids,
the bid of Todd and Ye~.ger being found the lowest, a motion was
made by Councilman Clark, seconded by Councilman Dammann, to ac-
cept Todd and Yeager's bid. All Councilmen voted"Aye". ~
A motion was made by Councilman Clark, seconded by CoUncilman
Conrad, authorizing the Nayor to si;n the contract with Todd and
Yeager. ~+Iotion carried. Also, the other bidders were to be
notified of the awarding of the bid.
Councilnan Dixson was t~ check a~ith ~ir. Ealdwin in regards
to ~zsing gravel from his place, and get the inforaation for Mr.
Harris to draw up an agreement with Baldwin.
N'~r. Strother reported the ambulance had been taken away from
Arroyo Grande owing to the fact that Jerry Bennett had not ~een
able to have a telephone instalZed, and the ~Iayor agreed to contact
~r. Gooding of the Pacific Tel. & Tel. to see if it voould not be
possible to have the phone installed as Mr. Bennett also vaas our
Fire Chief .
Ntr. Stro~her also reported he had heard a rumor that there was
talk of San Luis O~ispo trying to get water rights up Lopes Creek,
and the Clerk was asked to write the ~Nater Resources Eoard for
information on the establishment of water rights by the City, and
if there had been any rights appropriated by thz City of San Luis
Obispo.
No further business appearing, and upon motion the meeting was
adjourned.
