A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
_ AUTHORIZZNG THE 5TOP SIGN AT THE INTERSECTION OF BRIDGE AND
NEISON STREETS TO BE MOVED.
On motion of Councilman K~rkpatrick and seconded by Councilman Kerr and by
the following roll call vote to-wit:
~YES: Councilmen Simpson, Kerr, Kirkpatrick and Burt
NOES: None
A~38ENT: Councilman Sturges
`1'he foregoing resolution was adopted.
T~lr. Harris read for the first time an Ordinance vhich he had prepared on changing
the time of Council meetings from the lst and 3rd Wednesdays of each month to the
lst and 3rd Tuesdays of each month. He also gave to the Council copies of a trailer
ordinance which he had prepared for them to check.
Bills against the General Fund for ~1885.$!t and the Water Fund for ~~~.~Q
were audited, approved and ordered paid.
1~Ir. Anderson reported on the sewer hook-up of J. W. Bayer and Mr. Harris agreed ~
; to write a letter to Mr. Bayer.

No further business appearing the meeting was ad~ourned to 9 A.M. Saturday
March 20, 195~t.

The City Council met in an adjourned session with Mayor Simpson presiding. '~Tpon
roll call Cou}~cilmen Kerr and Bur~ repQrted present. Councilman Sturges a~
arrived later.
Mr. Sheldon and Mr. McElhaney were present to discuss motor gaaders and
Nir. ,Anderson reported he had looked,over the graders and figured the later model
for ~7500.00 was the better buy of the two, after ~uite a discussion a motion ~as
made by Councilman Sturges to purchase the ~7500.00 grader with 961000.00 to be
allowed for the .~ustin Western on a trade-in, and the grader to be paid for ,fro~
the Water Fund and ~400.00 per month to be budgeted next year to reimburse the
Water Fund on the purchase of the Compreassor and Motor grader, the motion Was
seconded by Councilman Burt and all members voted Aye.
Mayor Simpson asked hoW the Council felt about inviting the Channel Counties
to hold the June meeting in Arroyo Grande. After discussion a motion was made by
~ouncilman Sturges and seconded by Councilman Burt authorizing j`sayor Simpson to ask

the Channel County Division to meet here. Chief of Police Mize was to check for
dates on the Veteran's Memorial Hall in Pismo and see if it could be held there.
Mr.~Anderson asked about the city laying the water line on Cypress And Pecan
if it was agreeable to Webb to furnish the ditcher, operator and a couple of
laborers and a motion was made by Councilman Kerr, seconded by Councilman Sturges
to have Mr. Anderson check with Webb Construction Co. and if agreeable proceed
with the water lines.
No further business appearing and upon motion the meeting ad~ourned.
