The City Council met in regular session with Mayor Burt presiding. Upon
roll call ~ouncilmen Kerr, Pence, Simpson and Brennan reported present. The
minutes of the previous regular and special meetings were read and approved
as read. -
Mr. Harris read a letter from Andrew David asking for the abandonment of
Acacia Street in Tract $45.

A RESOLUTION OF INTEN7'ION TO VACATE, ABANDON AND CLOSE
A PORTION OF ACACIA STREET IN THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE,
COUNTY OF SAN LUIS OI3ISP0, STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
.On motion of Councilman Sirr?pson and seconded by Councilman Pence and on
the following roll call vote to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen Burt, Kerr, Pence, Si~son and Brennan

ABSENT: None
The foregoing resolution ~as adopted.
Mr. Hamlin and Mr. Anderson agreed to have estimates ready for the water
line on the creek crossing for the July ~th meeting.
More water storage was discussed and G. F. Dixson reported the water
pressure was so low at his place that if the water was being used at one house
there was no water at the other house. He suggested that enlargement of lines
inside the city be taken care of before money was spent outside the city. The
(%ouncil felt that when the 8 inch line was in on Valley Road and a line installed
on E Cherry, it would help the pressure in the East end of town.
Councilmen Pence reported he had been contacted about having some fire breaks
around the city farm so fire cauld not be spread to ad3oining property. Councilman
Simpson and Mr. Anderson were asked to see about fire breaks.
Chief Mize reported he had attended a meeting in San Luis Obispo in regard
to dog ordinances for both cities and counties and there was to be another meeting
later for further discussions.

RFSOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
ADOPTING BUDGET AND APPROVIN~ MEMORANDUM OF AGR~:EMEi~IT FOR
EXPENDITURE OF GAS TAX ALLOCATION FOR MAJOR CITY STREETS.
On motion of Councilman Brennan, seconded by Councilman Kerr and by the
following roll call vote to-wit:

The fore~oing resolution was adopted sub3ect to corrections of the limits on
pro~ect ~18. , .
A motion was made by Gouncilman Simpson seconded by Councilman Brennsn to
grant Councilman Pence permission to leave the State from June 23 to Ju1y 6.`
All members voted.~ye.
It was also moved and seconded to allow the Chief of Police to take his
vacation betWeen June 18th and the next regular meeting of the council.
Bills against the General Fund for ~1786.94 and the Water Fund for 9~782.~0
were audited approved and ordered paid.
It uas agreed to set Paul Quaresma's water meter on the water line ta t3~e
resevoir and ma.ke no plans for a sewer line under the freeway.
It was planned to have the Budget ready at the July 6th meeting.:
