The Gity Council met in regular session with Mayor 3~urt presiding. Upon '
roll call Councilmen Kerr, Simpson and rsrennan reported present. Councilrr~n
Pence arrived later.
The minutes of the previous regular meeting wsre read and approved as read.
Councilman Pence upon his arrival wished to clari~,y the portion about the Re-
creation Committee meeting. It should have read "Councilman Pence reported the
Recreation Committee had held a meeting and there vaas discussion about a city tax
for recreation purposes." And Counc~lrnan rence asked if an election would have to
be held in order to s~t a tax for recreation. Mr. Harris advised the council he
thought it would be necessary to put it up for a vote before a recreation tax
could be set.
N~r. Harris was asked for information on the ambulance which had been nffered
to the city. He reported the city could not go outside the city with the ambulance
unless the city entered into an agreement with the county or the City of Pismo ~each.
~ lengthy discussion followed and 14layor i3urt appointed a committee of Councilman
Brennan, chairman with Councilman Simpson, tiaayne Mize, and Earl Wood, Jr. They were
to check with Mr. Sheehy and the Pismo Beach City Officials. P~layor Burt said he
would like to set in at the rr~eeting.
Mr. Vermillion appeared at the council to see when they were going to do some
work on Larchmont. It had been promised several times and so far it had only been
graded a time or two. Councilman Brennan said he would get together with i'ir.
~nderson and see what could be done to Larciunont.
Several people from Western Addition were present to ask more information
about sewers. P~Ir. Idler asked if several blocks could be done if the people signed
up. i~ir. ~~arris explained the procedure followed when the ~ornwall sewer was put in.
~1r. Stinson from the 5outh San Luis Obispo County Harbor Development Associa-
tion was present and told of their plans and recommended the council representative
try to attend their meetings held on the lst Friday of each month in the Sylvester
t3uilding in .Avila at 8 P.M. '

i~Ir. Harris reported Yie had dictated a letter to be sent to Mr. llartino but ±

the letter was not sent and i~1r. vavid was not present so he suggested they be ~
notified to attend the Nov. 16th meeting.

~ Mr. .Anderson reported he had talked to Iyr. Doko of the Valley Paving and he
` was not very anxious to do the Creek Crossing part of the contract alone. Mr.
,
Harris was to write a letter to the Valley Paving and ask them to proceed with ~,i~e wcrk
the work. -
Gouncilman Brennan asked Mr. Harris about insurance on the ~%ouncilmen and it
was.suggested Mr. Taylor call Mr. Haxris and also check with Ed Roy on insurance
policies which the City of Fismo Beach had on councilmen.
Councilman Kerr reported on th~ water conservation meeting he had attended
in regard to water for the valley.
~3ills against the General F'und for ~3l~07.12, the Water Fund for ~II00~.17, the
water Deposit Fund for ~20.00, the 5ewer Rental Fund for $~182.63 and the Sgecial
Gas Tax St. Imp. Fund for ~1~138.85 were audited, approved and ordered paid. It
was moved and seconded that vouchers 18-19-20-21-22-23 and 21~ be authori2ed for
transfer. -
No further business appearing and upon motion the meeting adjourned.
