November 22, 1960
,The City Council met in regular session with Mayor Burt
presid~.ng. Present were Councilmen-Pence and Jacobs. Absent
Councilmen Lee and Hartwig.
The minutes of the November 9th, 1960 meeting;were
`approved as prepared.
Mr. McLennan will report on the Western Addition Drain-
age at the December 13th meeting.
Mr. Anderson.reported he had been unabl~ to contact
the property owners regarding the easement from,Subdivision
Tract No. 202 to Grand Avenue but would report at the next
meeting.
Chief Richardson reported that he and Captain Black of the
California Highway Patrol were to make a survey;of the parking
on Grand Avenue ~nd would report_later.
The all day parking on the side streets had been in-
vestic~ated by Chief,Richardson and he stated the residents
had not been bathered for some time, and that the Police
Department would do periodic check~ng of the area.
Mr. Anderson ~~ported another sign would be installed
on the Island designating the ArroyQ Grande Business Area.
The request of the Justice Court for better heating in
their offices was referred to Mr. Anderson,
The Water Line to Subd~vision_Tract No. 186 was dis-
cussed 3~ut no action was taken at this tin~e .
TYie City Council agreed to meet with the Flanning.
Commission to discuss'the Master_Zoning Ordinance, at 7;30 p.m.
. Friday, November 25th, 1960.
The Couricil approved having a traffic count and survey
the Halcyon Road and Grand-Avenue intersection.and for Mr.
Anderson_to work with the County_to obtain a solution for the
traffic hazard at this intersection.
A lease was presented from.the County for the Justice
Court offices and was referred to Mr. Harris.

THE ~AN~ELLATION OF GENERAL FUND WARRANT NO.
239~DATED SEPTEMBER 13, 1960.
On motion of Councilman Jacobs, seconded by Councilman
Pence, and on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Mayor Burt, Councilman Pence and Jacobs
NOES• None
ABSENT: Councilman,Lee and Hartwig ~
the foregoing resolution was adopted this 22nd day of
November, 1960.

The Dog,Ordinance was discussed and referred to Mr. Harris
to have ready for the December l3th meeting.
The County Health-Department requested the City provide
a Clerk to work with them on the day the dog vaccination was
being done in.Arroyo Grande.
The lease with Mr. Hiyama for the City Property was dis-
cussed and xeferred to Mr. Harris.
Mr. Harris reported he would notify the Garbage Companies
that if they had not xeached an_agreement amonc~st themselves
by the next_Council meeting, he would have an opinion avail-
able at that time.
Fire Chief Marsalek requested the annual contribution
to the fire department be made, and it was agreed payment
would be made December 13th, 1960.
Councilman Jacobs suggested Arroyo Grande be the host
City to arrange a meeting with-the other City Councils within
this County, to discuss the possibility of ineeti.ng with the
County Board of Supervisiors to coordinate City and County
problems.
On motion of Councilman Jacobs, seeonded by Councilman
Pence warrants against the General Fund for $4,54Q.78 were
approved and ordered paid. All members present voted "Aye".
No further business apgc~aring, upon motion the meeting
adjourned-at 8:15 p.m.
