The City Council met in regular session with Mayor Burt
presiding, Present were Council.men Lee, Pence, and Jacobs. Absent
was Councilman Hartwig.
The minutes of the regular meeting of December 12th, I961
were approved as prepared.

"FAIR OAKS-ARROYO GRANDE" AND AN AFFIDAVIT ~F ~
PUBLICATIOI~T THEREOF AND APPRClVING THE CIRCULA-
TION OF THE PETITI~N.
On motion of Councilman Jacobs, seconded by Councilman
Pence, a,nd l~y the following roll call vote:
AYES: Mayor Burt, Councilman Lee, Pence and Jacobs
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Hartwig.
the foregoing Resolution was adopted this 26th day of December,
1961.
A motion was made by Councilman Pence, seconded bp Council-
man Lee that the reservoir on Brisco Hill be approved and accepted
by the City. A11 members present vcst~d "Aye".
Councilman Pence noted the Resolution passed August 22, 1961
to increase the water rates will bec~ effective January 1, 1962,
and additional water revenue could be anticipated to supplement
the cost of the installation of the new reservoir. Councilman
Jacobs said he felt it should be noted, the water rates, with the
increase, would be on a comparable basis with the other water
companies as the City had previously been ~ower than others.
Landscaping of the reservoir site was discussed and Councilman
Pence suggested contacting the residents of the area to determine
the type of landscaping they desired and the City arrive at an
amount available for landscaping.
Councilman Pence reported the Committee formed to discuss the
Elementary School water rates wa.s not ready to make a recommendation
at this ti~?e.
The Committee for the Planning Co~nission recommendation was
not ready to report at this time.
Chief Richardson reported the cable necessary to insta~.l ~he
radio antenna on the radio station tower would have to be ordered
at least four weeks in advance. The City Clerk was ir~structed to
write to Les H~cker and request an advance notiee of six weeks from
the date the antenna would be moved to the tower. The Council
requested Mr. H'arris contact Mr. Hacker and arrive at a written
agreement regarding the installation and maintainence of the City
Radio equipment at the radio station site.
The overalZ sewer plan was discussed and it was agreed to
have more information before ta~a.ng any action.

A motion was made by Councilman Lee, seconded`:by Council-
man Jacobs, that the Arro~o Grande City Council, the Arroyo
Grande Citq PZanning Commission, the Grover City City Council,
the Grover City Planning Commission, Mr. Harold Guiton and
the members o£ the Oceano Sanitary Board and Mr. Harris, be
requested to attend the Zone Three Water Conservatio~ and
Flood Control meeting on January 4, 1961 at 8:00 p.m. at the
Arroyo Grande Citp Hall for a discussion regarding the
overall sewer plan and the payment distribution for the
aerial m~~ping. All members present voted ''Aye''T.
On motion of Councilman Jacobs, seconded by Cauncilman
Zee, warrants against the General Fund.for $6,519.22 were
approved and. ordered paid. All members pres~~~ voted:'•Aye".

at 9:40 p.m.
