The City Clerk shall enter on the records of the City Council
of said. Gity a statement as a result af the said. election showing:
(1) The whole number of votes cast in the City;

Councilman Jacobs, speaking for the members-of the CotxnciT;
expressed. their th~.ks and. appreciatipn to C4uncilmen Pence and.
. Hartwig for their many years af service to the City, and spoke of
the many improvements made dur~ing their terms of office that they
had. devoted much time and. effort to.
The meeting was then turned.over to the City C1erk and
,nominations for Mayar were opened..
A motion was mad.e by Couneilman Jacobs, seconded. by Councilman
Lee, that George A. Burt be nominated.f4r Mayor. All members
present voted "Aye". Mayor Burt tha.nked the Council for their
confidence in him and. said being Mayor of Arroya Grand.e was the
high poi~.t of his life.
Mayor Burt appainted.Councilman Jacobs as Finance Commi~sioner,
Councilman Lee as P~bl~.c~ and Fire Commissioner, Councilman Waod as
Water Commissioner, Councilman McNei1 as Street Gomtnissinner,
Cauncilman Wood. as the Councils representative to the Planning
Commission and. all City Personnel to the positions held. Councilman
JacQbs was appointed. to serve as Mayox Pro-Tem.

requested. the Council supply the necessary infcarmation for the
installation of a sewer to the Qcean View School as soon as
possible as time was short and septic tanks would.'h~ave to bei:.
installed. if asewer agreement could. not be mad.e betwy~en the City
and. the School District. The City Clerk was to cantact Mr. Harris
to d.eternaine when the agreement woul.d be available.
