The City Council met in adjourned regular session with Mayor Levine pre-.
siding. Upon roll call, Council Members Thompson and Wood reported present.
Councilmen Schlegel and Ta11ey are absent.
APPROVAL - HIGH SCH. STUDENT GROUP TO PARTICIPATE TN STRE~M BED BEAUTIF.PROJECT,
Administrator Butch reported that the Parks and Reereation Commission has
recommended Council action and approval to allow High School Student groups and
organizations to participate in the C~ty's stream bed beautification project, -
as various High School groups have e~ressed interest in this project and feel
they could contribute to a worthwhile project in this manner.
After Council discussion, on motion of Councilwoman Thompson, seconded by
Councilman Woo~ and carried, authorization and approval was granted to allow
a youth particip'~?tion program, consisting of High School Student groups and
organizations, to assist with the Stream Bed Beautification Project, within
that grea of t~e stream bed owned by the City, located between Mason and
Short Streets.
COUNCILMEN TALLEY AND SCHLEGEL JOINED THE COUNCIL AT 8:05 P.M,
JOINT STUDY SESSION-COUNCIL AND PLANNING COMMISSION
DISCUSSION OF GUIDE LINES FOR FUTURE REZONING OF R-A-B-1,2 & 3 DISTRICTS
Discussion was held regarding the need for guide lines relative to re-
view and consideration of applications submitted requesting rezoning of areas
within the City located within the Residential Agriculture - Single Family
Rasidential, Duplex Residential and Multiple Family Zoned Districts (R-A-B-1,
2, and 3). The Planning Commission will study this matter in greater detail
and forward its recommendation to the Council for review and consideration.
ADJOURNMENT
On motion of Councilman Schlegel, secanded by Councilwoman Thompson, and
unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 10;50 P,M. until 2:00 P.M.,

present.
PROGRESS REPORT-ARROYO GRANDE SEWER ASSESSMENT DISTRICT-ENGINEERING PHASE
York Peterson, Engineer of the Arroyo Grande Sewer Assessment District
Project and Dick Drahn and Orville Poler of the County Engineering Depart-
ment, were present and presented design and profile maps of most of the
project. Specific problems were discussed as to the question of unsewered
properties,
GENERAL DISCUSSION - COUNCIL MEMBERS AND SUPERVISOR MANKINS
~eneral discussion was held between the Gouncil and San Luis Obispo
County Supervisor of Distrz~ct 4, Howard D. Mankins, regarding various
polieies and.,pro~e.dure.~ of operation within the frame work of County and
City Government, with the intent qf achieving better coordination and co-
operation between the two entities.
