Background
City has received complaints from a number of Village businesses regarding employee parking issues
2015 - received request from VIA to implement 2-hour restrictions in Car Corral and adjacent lots
Request presented to DPAB – recommended not taking action
March 2016 – request made again – DPAB scheduled workshop meeting to discuss issue
April 2016 – Workshop meeting, emphasized cooperation between businesses
July – DPAB recommended parking restriction modifications

Preliminary Enforcement Options
DPAB acknowledged that limitation only work with enforcement
PD/CDD have discussed preliminary options for enforcement
Hiring of an additional, dedicated, part-time parking enforcement officer;
Transfer some NST workload to incoming Cadets, have NSTs perform parking enforcement
Reduce/eliminate services offered by PD to allow for additional enforcement
Take no further action/do no additional research for enforcement strategies

Recommendation
The DPAB recommends the City Council adopt a Resolution:
Designate 2 on-street spaces in westbound and eastbound directions of Branch Street for 20 minute parking;
Maintain 2-hour parking limits on Branch Street;
Limit parking in Olohan Alley from Bridge Street to the extension, the Car Corral, and the southernmost row of Le Point Street parking lot to 3-hour parking; and
Direct staff to investigate options and/or sources of funding for parking enforcement.
