He referred to a Maul schematic showing how the new City Hall might look. He compared the square footage the City is talking about today with the Maul study requirements. - Mr. Mack gave a sample schedule for building a civic center in stages, and paying for it as it is built. He also discussed other ways to pay for the civic center. He said six years is an absolute minimum time to get through the process of construction in phases assuming that the Council budgets each year what it is currently budgeting plus 10 per cent compounding rate. He said so far the City has saved $1,125,000.00 for civic center construction. Council Members discussed the City sales tax growth rate, increasing operational costs, major capital projects, and the option the City holds on some South Bank properties.
