'I1IE aTY roUHCIL OF 'I1IE C1TY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLOOWS:
SI!'CJ10R 1: That Section 9-4.2601, of the Arroyo Grande MunicipaJ. Q)de is amended to read
in its entirety as follows:

All off-street parking spaces, whether in a garage, carport, or open area, shall be so
located as to be accessible and usable for the parking of IIX>tor vehicJes. Camx>n parking
facilities IIIlY be ~vided in lieu of individual requirelrents; ~vided, however, the corrm>n
~ facilities shIIll have a total nwnber of parking spaces not less than the total I1ID1Der of
individual requirerrents, less any individual requirerrents actually ~vided, and shall meet the
requirements of the district in v.mch they are located.
n Accessible, n as II!ed in this section, in reference to a garage or. carport not having an
entrance on an alley, shall mean that there shIIll be an unobrtructed, pa~ surfaced area
e~ from the garage or carport entrance directly away therefran for 8 distance of thirty
teet (30') for a residential deveJDpnent. Such nininun surfaced area shall be the full width of
the garage or carport entrance width for the entire footage required and shall be connected by
a paved area of twelve feet (12') minin1IIn width with the public thoroughfare for single-family
deveJo(Jllent and sixteen feet (16') nininun width for any develqxnent exceedir€ three (3) units.

be surfaced in concrete or A-C paving to aty requireloonts.
SI!'CJ10R 2: 'This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) cia}'!! after its

the names of the Council MenDers voting thereon, in a newspaper of general circulation within
