Consideration of a Resolution Updating Operating Fees as Set Forth
in the Master Fee Schedule
DATE: JUNE 25, 2018
Attached is a comparison of certain current fees and proposed fees in the Master Fee
Schedule. In general, all fees are increasing by 3%, however certain planning related
fees are increasing by 15% and some recreation related fees are increasing based on
updated cost estimates for providing the services as well as market comparisons for
similar facilities or programs, not necessarily a fixed percentage increase.
In addition, there is currently a $30 fee for setting up a new utility account, which will
increase to $40. Reconnecting a water meter that has been disconnected due to non-
payment will increase from $45 to $90. If a customer self-reconnects service that has
been disconnected, the fee will increase from $65 to $180 and the current $10 fee for
replacing a lock that is cut from a meter will increase to $15. These increases are
reflective of the cost of materials and staff time required to perform these services.
