SUBJECT: CONSIDERATION OF REQUEST FROM ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW
COMMITTEE MEMBER LORI HALL FOR CONSECUTIVE ABSENCES
FROM ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETINGS
D ATE: APRIL 23, 2019
SUMMARY OF ACTION:
Approving the request would allow Committee Member Lori Hall to remain on the
Architectural Review Committee, while permitting three consecutive absences.
IMPACT TO FINANCIAL AND PERSONNEL RESOURCES:
There is no cost impact from this item.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council consent to three consecutive absences by
Architectural Review Committee Member Lori Hall.

Architectural Review Committee meetings constitute a resignation unless the City Council
consents to such absences. Architectural Review Committee Member Lori Hall has

ANALYSIS OF ISSUES:
Requirements in the Municipal Code regarding Committee absences are designed to
encourage steady attendance. Committee Member Hall has proven to be a valued
member of the Architectural Review Committee since her appointment and does not
currently plan on absences beyond the three that will be required for her planned vacation.
ALTERNATIVES:
The following alternatives are provided for the Council’s consideration:
1.Consent to the absences;
2.Do not consent to the absences; or
3.Provide direction to staff.
