hi Theresa.
i have read the reports and realized that there is no point spending $500.00 on an appeal. so will just report my
concerns.
number one is the fact that 3 people (at least 2 that do not live in the city) made a decision that affects a neighborhood
with out any input by anyone in that neighborhood. none of my neighbors knew anything about the request.
a ten day notice was sent out 9 days before it was due, and it took 2 days to be delivered, and in our case the city offices
were closed for 4 of those days. does that seem reasonable?
it also seems apparent that the criteria is so lax that most requests would be allowed. 15 minute response to a complaint?
300 feet between units, we could have a couple on this one block street. 2 people per bedroom and 2 extra. that means
the 3 bedroom house next to me has a potential of 8 people with how many cars? and 30 days, is that a vacation stay or
a monthly rental?
actually i could go on, but with my broken arm it is hard to type left handed.
so i am hoping that my concerns will at least save the next neighborhood.
i will be happy to provide names of the people i have spoken too and certainly hope you share my thoughts with the
planning commissioners.
