1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Hoag called the Regular Architectural Review Committee meeting to order at 2:30 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
ARC Members: Chair Hoag, Vice Chair Bruce Berlin, and Committee Members Jon
Couch, and Lori Hall were present. Kristin Juette was absent.
City Staff Present: Assistant Planner Andrew Perez was present.

Committee Member Couch led the Flag Salute.

7. CONSENT AGENDA
Committee Member Couch made a motion, seconded by Vice Chair Berlin to approve the
minutes of the October 21, 2019, Regular Meeting as submitted. The motion passed 4-0 on
the following voice vote:
AYES: Berlin, Couch, Hall, Hoag
NOES: None
ABSENT: Juette
8. PROJECTS
8.a. CONSIDERATION OF ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW 19-004; CONSTRUCTION OF ONE
(1) NEW 1,951 SQUARE FOOT SINGLE FAMILY HOME; LOCATION — LOT 14 OF TRACT
2653; APPLICANT — HUASNA DEVELOPMENT COMPANY; REPRESENTATIVE — MARK
VASQUEZ, DESIGN GRAPHICS(Perez)
Assistant Planner Perez presented the staff report, presented the proposed materials and
colors, and explained how the project complies with the Cherry Creek Design Guidelines.
Mark Vasquez, project architect, spoke in favor of the project and explained that the design
was partially driven by the location of the existing driveway apron. The design is compatible
with the neighborhood and offers a sense of continuity without being too similar. The site
design allows for a generous backyard area while complying with the development standards
and Design Guidelines.

Monday, November 18, 2019
The Committee spoke in support of the project and appreciated the site design and
architectural details proposed. The Committee found the color and material choices
appropriate and the house to be a good fit in the neighborhood. The Committee discussed
whether another accent color was necessary, and suggested the applicant consider an
additional color.
Vice Chair Berlin made a motion, seconded by Committee Member Couch, to recommend
approval of the project to the Community Development Director as submitted.
The motion passed 4-0 on the following voice vote:
AYES: Berlin, Couch, Hall, Hoag
NOES: None

10. COMMITTEE COMMUNICATIONS
Chair Hoag inquired about the City's regulations in regards to tiny homes.
Committee Member Hall announced that she will be absent from the regularly scheduled
Committee meetings on December 16, 2019 and January 6, 2020.
11. STAFF COMMUNICATIONS
Assistant Planner Perez notified the Committee that the Jim Guthrie Community Grant
Program application period is open and the Committee will be asked to appoint one
representative to the grant panel.
12. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 3:26 p.m.to a regular meeting on December 2, 2019 at 2:30 p.m.
