CC 2020-06-23_09a LLD Direction to Levy_PP PresentationCITY COUNCIL Grace Lane Parkside Village Landscaping District No. 1 Tract 1769 Grace Lane Assessment District Landscaping District No. 1 Tract 1769 AKA: Parkview Parkside Village Assessment District The California Streets and Highways Code requires the following steps be completed each fiscal year in order to levy and collect assessments: 1.Adopt a Resolution describing any proposed new improvements and ordering preparation and filing of an engineer’s report. The City Council adopted Resolutions on April 14, 2020: •No new improvements or substantial changes in existing improvements •Ordered the preparation and filing of the updated Engineer's Reports 2.Approve the Engineer’s Reports and adopt Resolutions of Intention to levy and collect assessments for upcoming fiscal year. Set final public hearing. The City Council adopted Resolutions on June 9th, 2020: •Engineer's Reports and Resolutions of Intent to levy were approved •No change in assessment amount was proposed from the previous year 3.Conduct the public hearing affording all interested parties the opportunity to hear and be heard,and adopt a Resolution confirming the assessment, which constitutes the levy of the assessments for the 2020-2021 fiscal year. The subject of tonight’s June 23, 2020 City Council meeting. Following the sequence of: •No new improvements or substantial changes in existing improvements •No change in assessment amount from the previous year. Staff recommends the City Council adopt each Resolution directing the levy of the annual assessments for Fiscal Year 2020-21.
