CC 2021-06-08_07 Supplemental No 1 MEMORANDUM TO: CITY COUNCIL FROM: WHITNEY McDONALD, CITY MANAGER SUBJECT: SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION AGENDA ITEM 7. – JUNE 8, 2021 CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNITY COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS DATE: JUNE 8, 2021 Attached is correspondence received by 4:00 PM for the above referenced item. cc: Assistant City Manager/Public Works Director City Attorney City Clerk City Website (or public review binder) From:Steven Dunbar To:public comment Subject:Open Public Comment for Next Board and Council Meeting Date:Saturday, May 29, 2021 11:44:39 AM SLORTA Directors and Mayor/Councilmembers of Arroyo Grande, I am back in my hometown for a short vacation, and unfortunately I experienced a flat tire on my bicycle at 12th and El Camino Real yesterday. In working to get back home, I realized there was no bus stop around Oak Park and El Camino Real that goes towards Arroyo Grande. I had to go either a half mile uphill towards Walmart, uphill to James Way, uphill via El Camino, or up and over Oak Park towards Grand. I am able to do this, but I felt it was rather unfair to others less able. I am also aware of the affordable housing planned for the intersection of Oak Park and El Camino. It is my hope that, if it is not already planned, bus stops for Routes 21 (eastbound), 27, and 28 could be installed near the 101 overcrossing in the future. I understand that more stops slows down the route slightly, but I believe it is worth it in the context of this area. Thank you for your attention, Steven Dunbar
