Why are we here?
June 22, 2021 the Circulation Element Update was presented for adoption.
Council requested staff to verify the classification of Grace Lane prior to adoption

2000 City Council approved the installation of speed humps and bulb outs on Rodeo Drive
Current CE (2001) does not show Grace Lane.
Approval of VTTM 02-005 in 2004
In 2008 Improvement plans for Grace Lane were approved and constructed in 2010
In 2012 the speed study labeled Grace Lane as a collector.

Based on the current and future function of Grace Lane and Rodeo Drive, and in light of input/direction from the City Council and the public, staff is recommending that both Grace Lane
and Rodeo Drive be classified as local collectors.

Figure 2-1 identifies Grace Lane as a local collector.
Figure 2-2 identifies Grace Lane as a local collector and depicts proposed intersection improvements at both North and South Rodeo Drive intersections.
In the Existing Conditions Report (Appendix to the CEU), Figure 1.2 (Existing Roadway Functional Classification) is replaced with the Existing Circulation Map to avoid confusion.

Ash Street, Branch Mill Road, Brisco Road, Courtland Street, East Cherry Avenue, El Camino Mercado, Farroll Avenue, Huasna Road, Mason Street, North Corbett Canyon Road, Rodeo Drive,
Nelson Street, Grace Lane, and Tally Ho Road are other important roadways serving local collector functions within the City.
