PUBLIC HEARING - LOT SPLIT CASE NO. 87 -442, REVERSION TO ACREAGE, 579 CAMINO
MERCADO IN OAK PARK ACRES; AND ABANDONMENT OF DEDICATED RIGHT OF WAY
(MANOR HEALTHCARE CORP.).
Planning Director Rogoway reviewed that the Planning Commission and City Council had
previously approved a Conditional Use Permit to construct a 180 bed skilled nursing facility on
Camino Mercado in Oak Park Acres. One of the conditions of approval required the property
to revert to acreage before a building permit is issued. The parcel map before the Commission
tonight reverts the lot to acreage and, presumably abandons the street known as "Camino de
Plaza ". He stated the applicant has questioned the abandonment because of a possible public
utility easement that might exist in the street, and it may be necessary for the city to initiate
an abandonment on its own to clear away easements that might exist.
In answer to Chairman Carr's question regarding the adjacent property to the street,
Mr. Rogoway advised that half of the street will revert to the adjacent property.
