The Arroyo Grande Planning Commission met in regular session with Chairman
Pope presiding. Present are Commissioners Calhoon, Goulart, Mathews, Moots, Ries
and Sandoval, Planning Director Gallop is also in attendance,
MINUTE pPROVAL,
Commissioner Goulart corrected the minutes of the regular meeting of May 7,
1974, Page 4, amendment to Resolution 74-333 U, Item 1, to read "motion carried
with two .'no' votes" There being no further corrections or additions, Chairman
Pope declared the minutes approved as corrected,
REVIEW ARCHITECTURAL COMMITTEE ACTION USED CAR LOT 111 GRAND AVE. HARTWIG, ,
The Commission reviewed the Archltectura Committee action on the Used Car
Lot at 1119 Grand Avenue, Director Gallop pointed out that the penetrating oil
coat has been applied and chipped,
REQUEST FOR ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT TRACT NO. 409
Director Gallop advised that Tract 09 is the subdivision just east of
Garden Street and between Myrtle and Cherry Avenue, and pointed out the easement
was originally requested primarily with the idea of asking for a sewer Tine
from Noguera to Che'rryAve1ue.'' When-die subdivision was constructed, the sewer
line was not needed and, as a result, the developer is requesting that the 10'
easement on Lot 10 be released, After reviewing recommendation in a letter from
Public Works Director Anderson dated May 8, 1974, on motion by Commissioner Moots,
seconded by Commissioner Ries, and unanimously carried, that a recommendation be
made to the City Council to abandon that portion of the Public Utility Easement
as described in Mr. Anderson's letter dated May 8, 1974,
ALTERNATE. DATE FOR PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING OF JUNE 4TH
Director Gallop recommended that Wednesday, June 5th, be considered
as an alternate date for the regular meeting of June 4th, which is Primary
Election Day. After discussion, it was agreed that the Commission would meet
on Wednesday, June 5th instead of the regularly scheduled meeting date,

CBD PRESENTATION PROGRAM
Director Gallop advised the Commission that Miss Judy Rieneck, Cal Poly
graduate architect student had completed a study on the Central Business '
District of the City, and has built quite a :detailed model and a slide
presentation, Dikoctor Gallop stigge'ated it might be of interest for this
Commission to look at the presentation and it could be set up for the next
regular maatingo After diaeua ®ion, it rae agreed that the presentation be set
for the meeting of Juba 5, 19740'
HILLTOP DEVELOPMENT
Commissioner Goulart advised he recently had occasion to .visit a residence
on Itillcrest Drive and noted the street is very.taerrow and has barely enough room
for two cars to parse and no pl'atce, to: ,paark, . Ha .felt this was a bad situation
and wider streets'should be cait idered in the future and at least provide
parking on one side of the street,

On motion by,Conimissioner Sandoval, seconded by Commissioner Calhoon,
and unanimously carried, the.regular meeting'.df June 4, 1974 was,cance l ed,
