ARCHITECTURAL APPROVAL - CASA LINDA BUILDERS, 716 GRAND AVE. - JOE ZOGATA
Director Gallop stated the intent was to convert an existing residential
structure to commercial use. The use calls for six off - street parking places,
and Mr. Zogata intends to have three in front of the building and three to the
rear of the building. According to the plot plan, there would be a small area
between the parking and sidewalk area, which Mr. Zogota has agreed to landscape.
The staff indicated bumper blocks would be required and off - street parking improved
to meet City requirements. The staff also indicated that after one year the
residence would lose its legal non - conforming status and could not be used for
residential purposes after that. This proposed commercial conversion would be
used for two offices; one for Mr. Zogata and for rental.
After a brief discussion, on motion of Commissioner Strother, seconded by
Commissioner Smith, and unanimously carried, that architectural approval be
granted.
