A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE ADOPT I NG THE AMENDED LAND
USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande has prepared a
general plan report together with a general plan map and has adopted the amended Land
. Use Element of the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 65501, et. seq., the City Council
gave required notice and did hold a public hearing, commencing on July 25, 1978,
which was continued from time to time until November 28, 1978, for the purpose of
considering the adoption of the amended Land Use Element of the General Plan report
and map, and at which public hearing the amended Land Use Element report and map
were displayed, explained and reported upon; and
WHEREAS, said amended Land Use Element of the General Plan report and map
thereof are necessary for sound future community development, the preservation of
cammunity values, and the promotion of general health, safety, convenience and wel-
fare of the citizens of the City of Arroyo GI'ande; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande has a responsibility
to plan for the desirable future growth and development of the City of Arroyo Grande;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Sect ion 1. The City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande does hereby find
and determine that the public interest, convenience and necessity require that the
amended Land Use Element of the General Plan report and map be adopted in the manner
set forth in Exhibit "A" which is. attached hereto and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande does hereby adopt
the said amended Land Use Element of the General Plan together with the maps and
descriptive material.
On the motion of Council Member de Leon seconded by Council Member Gallagher
and 6n the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Gallagher, de Leon, Smith, Pope and Mayor Millis.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 12th day of December, 1978.
