BROS, SHOPPING CEN. - Const Details Construction plans for the Williams Brothers Shopping Center were�taken under discussion and a revised parking pian was presented by I�r. Wslliams, A motion raas made by Co�nissioner Shaffer, second- ed by Commissioner Strother that the parking plan be held over until a report could be obtained by the City �gineer and Public Works Department. Commissioner Shaffer and Commissioner Strother then withdrew the motion and second, ' � .�.; , ._. � - . :? `. c; � l. i' ., i. �_ � Planning Commission May Sth, 1964 - Page 2 The revised parking plan was discussed, A motion was made by Commissioner Brisco, seconded by Commissioner Strother, that the revised parking plan be approved subject to the elimination of the center driveway on Grand Ave., leaving two openings instead of three and that two circulation traffic aisles, not less than 18 feet wid�, be reserved in parking areas adjacent to Grand Ave. City Engineer Robert Garing stated he approved the parking with the cox�ections as outlined in the above motiono Motion carried, A motion.vuas.made by Cammissioner Schult_z, seconded by Commiss� ioner Strother that the Constructson Plts:e� for Williams Bros. S'➢aopp- ing Center be approved only for the building that will be constructed parallel with Poplar Street and that the decoxative wall on Popla� Street be solid with no openings. blotion carried. ANIbWL.HOSPITAL CONSTRUCTION PLANS The construction details for the pr�posed animal hospital at Halcyon Road and Bennett Ave, were submitted and discussed, Mr. Donald Cotner, the architect, explained the details of the heating and cooling system and tne methnds af controYling noise and odor. A motion was made by Commissioner Shaffer, seconded by Commiss- ioner Richardson, that the Construction Plans for the Animal Hnspital be approved as submitted, Motion carxied, STREET NAIiQES Commissioner Strother reported the Stxeet Name Committee had not met since October lst, 1963 due to waiting.for the County of San Luis Obispo to be the moderator in renaming c�.r�d renumbering streets and he felt the City should proceed with the renaming in- dependently unless the County gives evidence of wishsng to cooperate in the near future, ADJOURNMENT A motion was ma8e by Commissioner Schultz, seconded by Commiss- ioner Shaffer that the meeting be adjourned at 9:25 P.bi.
