The Planning Co�amission met in regular session with Chairman
Talley presiding. Present were Commissioners Evans, Richardson,
Schultz, Strother and Councilman :�Jood. �bsent werc Commissioners
Brisco, Shaffer and Smith.

R motion was made by Commissioner Schultz, seconded by Commiss-
ioner Strother that the Conditional Use Permit request of the
Assembly o� God Church to construct a churclz on a.portion of Lot lOZ
of the Rancho Corral de Piedra be set for hearing at 8:00 P.ir.,

TENTATIVF ��1P - Tract TJo. 259 -
The tentative map of Tract IVo. 259 was discussed and i:Ar.
anderson explained the findings of the Subdivision Review Tseeting
and submitted a report and recommendation. Commissioner Brisco
joined the Planning Commission at 7:42 P.P3. P� motion was made by
Commissioner Richardson, seconded by Commissioner Evans that the
Tentative P�iap of Tract No. 259 be approved subject to 1) Public
Utility easements according to map submitted by P. G. S E.; 2)
Subdivision conform 'to proposed County improvements on Upper �.rroyo
Road; 3) Pavement width on Stage Coach Road be increased to 22 feet;
4) Subdivider install necessary emergency parking only signs as
required by Department of Public tdorks; 5) that drainage from Stage
Coach Road and subdivision lots be developed to the satisfaction
of the City Engineer and Director of Public :�Forks; 6) That water
service be provided as required by City Engineer and Director o
Public Laorks; 7) That septic tanks be approved by County Health
Department and availability of sew�rs in this area referred to
City Attorney as per Health Department request; and 8) that tfie
eaell on Lot 40 be nbandoned as requested by County Health Depart-

A motion was made by Commissioner Schultz, seconded by Commiss-
ioner Richardson, that the minutes of January 21st, 1964 bE approved

� letter was received from the Ar.royo Grande Union High School
District requesting a portion of 1'.:cKinley Street be abandoned, stat-
ing it was a"paper" street and that the portion they wanted aban- -
doned had never been developed. After discussion, a motion was
made by Commissioner Strother, seconded by Commissioner Schultz,
that the Planning Commission recommend to the City Council that the
portion of P:4cKinley Street between Lot 1 Block 27 and Lot 47 Block
28 of Becketts Crown Hill Addition be abandoned. Pfotion carried.

Pir. Butch notified members of the Tree Study Committee that
there would be a study session at 3:00 P.Isi. Thursday, February 6,
1964 in his office.

i��r. Stanley Grieb was ndvised the question of a School District
applying for a Conditional Use Permit on property they did not own
would have to be answered by the City t�ttorney as there were other
factors involved with a school that did not apply to private indivia-
uals, such es a school having the right of eminent domain.

which varied fram the. origi�ial as to location of the building,
coloring of the building, _ landscaping, par�king and driveways, and
explained the reaso�zs for-thE changes. x. m�tion was made by
Commissioner Schultz, seconded by Comrnissioner Smi �h that the
plans as presented for the Chu Chu llrive-In on Grand Ave. be
approved as to aesthetic value. Motion carried,

owners notified and the hearing was no� opened and all persons

request, acting Chairman Strother declared the hearing closed.
