Present were Commissioners Richard�on, Schultz, Smith and Strother. F�bsent were CommissionErs Brisco, Evans_, Shaffer and Councilman v�ood . MINUTE P_PPROVAL _ - The mi.nutes of the meeting of December 3, 1963 were approved as prepared. ANIA4AL HOSPITAL . - Architect Donald Cotner submitted preliminary Floor and Ele- vation Plans for the proposed F�.nimal sTo�pital and e�cplained the plans to the Planning Commission. Rev. M. Criswell asked�if �the construction plans had to be approved by the Planning Commis�sion. Commissioner Strother read the minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of I�iarch S, 1903 pertaining to the F. Hospital, and. explained that the construction plans �rill have to be approved by the Planning Commission. .A. motion was made by�Commissioner Sc�ultz seconded by Commissio�er Smith that the plans for the proposed animal hospital be approved for aesthetic value. After � discussion a motion Gvas made by Commission�r Strother, seconded by Commissioner Schultz �hat the Plannin� Commission approve the abandonment of a portion of LePoint Terrace according to the re- quest of the Golden Ruic Realty and Devzlopment Company and the redesign of the lot proposed subject to the-_following: 1. To the requirement th�t on lots 13 �nd 14 a driveway be de- eigned and built so that it �rill bc easy and convenient for the owner to turn his car around on the property and exit f�om the property with the car going forward, not backward; 2. That, in view of the fact that the Planning Commission has held no public hea?�ing on the mat�er, the request.be approved without prejudice against any ad}acent property owners wha may wish to object or protest such proposal at a p�ublic hearing to be held later. Motion carried. � HOME OCCUPATIOI�1 - PROPOSED ORDITIA.NCE The proposed Home Occupation Ordinance �ras submitted to the Planning Commission for further study. l�ir. vuright asked i� the parking for a Be4uty Parlor �rould be aizy more.objectionable than the parking for any o� the other occupations listed in the proposed Ordinance. Chairman Talley explained that the committee felt that a Beauty Parlor was a full time occupation and the occupations listed in the proposed Ordinance were secondary occupations. The proposed Ordinance was re�erred to the Home Occupation Committee for further study. �iVOOD PLACE EXTEirtrSIOiV Mr. �±nderson read z letter fram Garing, Taylor and Associates and expiained the plans for the extension of t���ood Place. �. motion was made by Commissioner Schultz, seconded by Commissioner Strother that the Pla,nning Commission recommend to the City Council tha� the extension of i�ood Place be accepted as shown on the plans submitted.
