The Planning Commission met in regular session with Chafrman
Talley presiding. Present were Commissioners £vans� Richardson,
Schultz, S�aith and Councilman VJood. Absent were Commissioners
Bzisco, Shaffer� and'Strother.

The minutes of the regular meeting o� November 19th, 196� were
approved as prepared.
STANDARD SERV. STA. PL�AIVS,
Pictures were presented to show what the Standard Station on
Grand Ave, would look like when completed. A motion was made by
Commissioner E�ans, -seconded by Commissioner Richardson that the
plans of the propo.sed station be approved as to aesthetic value.

The proposed ordinnnce for Home Occupation was not ready as the
City Attorney had not�reviewed it. The Ordinance �rom A�ionterey had
not been received at this time.

PQr. Butch requested the Planning Commission to meet with the
City Council at 7:30 P.M. on December 18th, 1963 ta discuss the
proposed Comprehensive General Plan for the City�

Commissi�ner Schultz advised that the Tree Ordinance had been
read for the first reading and that the City Council �.ad held the
Parking Ordinance for furth�r study. ..

Standards or control of driveways was discussed and no�action
was tc�ken .
LEAGUE CON�EREAtCE
Chnirman Talley read correspondence from the League of California
Cities advising that information requested from them regarding plann-
ing meetings held at the 1963 Conference would be sent at a later date.
VARIANCE HEr'1RIPdG �- Tract Ydo. 283.
Chairman Talley declareci the Variance request to allow R-1 use
in a R�-�3 Zone, Tract l�o. 28�,was duly published and property
owners notified and the hearing was nour opened and all persons for
or ngainst the request wou13 be heard. There was no discussion for
or against the request und Chairman Talley declared the hearing
closed. A motion was made by Commissioner Schult2, seconded by
Commissioner Smith, that the Variance request to allow R-1 Use in
an RA-B3 Zone, Tract �io. 283, be approved. All members present
vo�ed "�ye".
Rr. ONING HEARIPIG - Tract No. 283.
Chairman Talley declared the Rezoning request to rezone gror� RA-
B3 to R-1, Tract PZo. 283, was duly published and property owners
notified and the hearing was now opened and all persons for or against
the request would be heard. There was no discussion for or against
the request and Chairmctn Talle�r declared the hearing closed. A motion
was mnde by Commissioner Smith, seconded by Con►missioner Schultz, that
the Planning Commission recomnend to the City Council that Tract PTo.
283 be rezoned from }ZA-B3 to R-1, as requested by Jim.lVorman. All
memk�ers present voted "Aye".
