Present �were Cammissioners Schultz Smi�h, Richardson and Councilman Woode Absent ���ere Commissioners Strother, Brisco, Shaffer and Evans. - TRAILER ORD. AMENDMENT - The propose referred amendment co-the trailer ordinance was taken under discussion, and it was generalZy felt the use of trail- ers for purposes shouTd be confined to trailer parks, that acreage required fo� trailer might be put to a better use of the land, and that the enforcing of an ordinance allowing trailers in other than designated trailer parks w°ould not be feasible. A mat'ion was made by Commissioner Schultz, seconded by Commissioner Smith, that the Planning Commissian recommend to the City Coun�i}. that the proposed amendment to the Trailer Ordinance no�� be adopted and that as a suggestion, if the_Council feels, at this time, that the existing ordinance should be changed,•that further research and study be made. Ail members present voted "Aye". WALNUT ST. EXT. STREET SECTION The discussion of a proposed street section for the i.mprove- ment of the proposed �valnut Street Extension was taken under dis�ussion. Mr. Anderson presen�ed a drawing of the stree�t section and explained that sidewalks would be installed,° no curb and guttErs, and the street black�opped for 18' on each side of the cenicer line, reinforced wi�h r�dwood header to eleminate breaking off of the pav3ng, leavina th� area between �he paving and the sidewalk area for drainage an.d ponding of water, this area to be co�vered with ice plant. Ni�. Anderson advised the Planning Commission, the area ta be used for drainage would be approximately the equivalent of two ponding lots, and would be an experimental temporary drainage eolution enab�it�g���he street to be developed at this time. A motion was m�de by Commissioner Richardson, seconded by Co�nmission�r Smith, that the Planning Commission recommendation for the adoption of the proposed plan for the experimental street section and pond- �ing area along the proposed j+'valnut Street Extention be submit�ed to the City Council. All members p�esent voted "Aye". OVERALL DRAINAGE Mr. Anderson advised that Mr. Dick Drahn indicated he would start a study for an open drainage channel to the ocean from the Fair Oaks Area sometine this week.
