A regular meeting of the Planning Commission was held on the
above date in the Council Room of the City Hall, 7:30 P.M.
PRESENT: Mr. Brisco, Chairman, Mr. Kithcart, Mr. Shaffer, Mr.
Talley, Mr. Strother, Mr. Evans �
ABSENT: None
CREEK CROSBING - Halcyon Rd. - Valley Rd. Correspondence
A letter from Councilman Wood to the City Planning Commission
pertaining to the proposed roadways between Halcyon Road and
Valley Road was read. Extensive discussion followed. A let-
ter from Fred A. and Gertrude Grieb, addressed to the City
Council and pertaining also to the proposed roadways, was read.
Both ietters are on file.
REZONING - Grand Ave. (Polin)
On motion of Mr. Kithcart, the hearing on the rezoning of the
Martin Polin Property on Grand Avenue from RA-B3 to C-1 was
postponed until Mr. Polin is able to attend the meeting;
seconded by Mr. Strother. ALL AYES
HALCYON RD. PLAN LINES
A motion was made by Mr. Evans that a recommendation be made
by the Planning Commission to the City Council to adopt Halcyon
Road Plan Lines for an 80' road from Highway 101 to the Southerly
edge of Tract 131, as indicated on existing maps and including
any plan changes that have been made on these maps; seconded by
Mr. Talley.

CREEK CROSSING - Halcyon - Valley Rds.
The Planning Commission discussed the proposed roadways between
Halcyon Road and Valley Road. A motion was made by Mr. Strother
to recommend to the City Council that an 80' right of way be
constructed from Halcyon Road to Valley Road extending from Fair
Oaks Avenue; seconded by Mr. Talley.
(Corrected by minutes of June 5, 1962) ALL AYES
A motion was made by Mr. Strother to recommend to the City
Council that a 60' right of way, 30' off from the North side of
the Fred Grieb Property and 30' off from that property North
of the Fred Grieb Property, be constructed from Halcyon Road
to Valley Road extending from Ash Street; seconded by Mr. Kith-
cart.
(Corrected by minutes of June 5, 1962) ALL AYES
A motion was made by Mr. Strother that a policy be adopted
calling for a road on each side of the creek - each road par-
allel to the creek and each road to be approximately one lot
depth away from the creek's edge - to be used as gathering
roads for future crossings from Halcyon Road to Valley Road;
seconded by Mr. Kithcart.

JUNE'5th Meeting Place
On motion of Mr. Kithcart, the Planning Commission will hold
their Tuesday, June 5, 1962, meeting in the City Engineer's
Office because the City Hall is being used on this date as a
Polling Place; seconded by Mr. Strother.

PRELIMINARY MAPS (2) - Norman and Towery
Lowe raa z presen ed to t�ie Planning Commission the two pre-
liminary maps of new tracts to be constructed by Norman and
Towery stating that they were only for review. One tract is
located on the South side of the proposed Fair Oaks Avenue
extension East of and paralleling Halcyon Road, and the other
tract is located Southeast of the end of South Alpine Street
and adjacent to the Ross Abel Property. Mr. Evans made a
motion that the general plans of both tracts be accepted;
seconded by Mr. Talley.

LOT SPLIT No. 9- Pearwood Ave. (Lancaster)
Lot Split Number for Nick Lancaster on Pearwood Avenue 'in
"Sunshine Acres" for Lots 23 through 28 was discussed by the
Planning Commission. A"motion was made by Mr. Kithcart that
the Lot:Split be accepted subject to the Lot Split Fee;
seconded by Mr. Brisco.

i�ARASSMENT POLICY
Following an additional discussion of Mr. Wood's letter to
the City Planning Commission, Mr. Strother moved that it be
placed on record that the City Planning Commission did not
practice a harassment policy against anyone; seconded by Mr.
Talley.

There being no further business, upon motion of Mr. Shaffer;
seconded by Mr. Talley, the meeting was adjourned at 10:45
P.M.
