R 1280 RESOLUT I ON NO. 1280 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE SPECI.AL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE ON THE 10TH DAY OF MAY, 1977, DECLARING THE RESULT THEREOF AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED BY LAW. WHEREAs, a special municipal election was held and conducted in the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, on Tuesday, the 10th day of May, 1977, as required by law; and WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly given in time, form and manner as provided by law; that voting precincts were property established; that election officers were appointed and that in al1 respects said election was held and conducted and the votes case thereat, received and canvassed and the returns made and declared in time, form and manner as required by the provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California for the holding of elections in cities; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 1277 adopted the 26th day of April, 1977, the City Clerk of the City of Arroyo Grande canvassed the returns of said election and has certified the results to this City Council, said results are received, attached and made a part hereof as "Exhibit A". NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECT! ON 1. That there were four (4) voting precincts established for the purpose of holding said election consisting of consolidations of the regular election precincts in the City of Arroyo Grande as establ ished for the holding of state and county elections. SECTION 2. That at said regular municipal election, the following measure was submitted to the electors of said City, to wit: .. SHALL THE FOLLOWING l'ROPOSED ORDINANCE BE ADOPTED? That the whole number of absent voter ballots cast in said City was Ninety-Six (96), making a total of Two Thousand Three Hundred and Eighty-Six (2386) votes cast in said City, --...------------ -------- , "" .., ~ r ,:) ~- SECTION 4. That the measure voted upon at said election is as set forth under Section 2 of this resolution. That the number of votes given at each precinct and the number of votes given in the City for and against the measure were as listed in Exhibit "A" attached. SECTI ON 5. The City Council does declare and determine that: As a resu1t of said election, a majority of the qualified voters voting on said measure re I at i ng to ag ri cu I tura I land in the City, did not vote in favor thereof, and that said proposition was not carried, and shall not be deemed adopted and ratified. SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall enter on the records of the City Counci1 of said City, a statement of the result of said e1ection, showing: (1) The whole number of votes cast in the City; (2) The measure voted upon; (3) The number of votes given at each precinct for and against the measure; (4) The number of votes given in the City for and against the measure. SECTION 7.
