/ RESOLUTION NO. 1245
/ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE,
CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO BE RAISED
BY TAXATION FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1976,
AND FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES FOR SUCH FISCAL YEAR.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE AS FOLLOWS:
1. The amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable
property within the City of Arroyo Grande, California, as revenue to carryon the
various departments Is hereby fixed as follows:
GENERAL GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS the sum of $294,675.00
EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT the sum of $ 34,140.00
RECREATION the sum of $ IO,780.0@
TOTAL the sum of $339,595;00
2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that for the purpose of raising said sum of money
necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within said City as
revenue to carryon the various departments of saId City for the fiscal year
beginning July 1, 1976, the rates of taxes are hereby fixed and taxes are hereby
levied on all taxable property within the said City for the fiscal year beginning
July I, 1976, as follows:
GENERAL GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS at the rate of $1.64 upon each $100.00
of assessed valuation of said property;
EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT at the rate of $0.19 upon each $100.00
of assessed valuation of said property;
RECREATION at the rate of $0.06 upon each $100.00
of assessed valuation of said ro ert .
TeTAL at the rate 0 1. 9 upon each 1 0.0
of assessed valuation of said property,
as assessed by the Assessor of the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California,
and equalized by the Board of Supervisors of said County.
3. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution is passed and adopted pursuant
to the provisions of an Act of the State of California entitled "An Act to Provide for
the Levy and Collection of Taxes Under the Laws of the State of California, Except
Municipal Corporations of the First Class, and to provide for the Consolidation and
Abolition of Certain Municipal Offices, and to Provide that their Duties may be
Performed by Certain Officers of the County, and Fixing the Compensation to be
Allowed for such County Officers for Services to be rendered to such Municipal
Corporations" (California Statutes 1895, Page 219, and amendments thereto).
4. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall, within fifteen (15)
days after its passage, be published at least once, together with the names of the
Council Members voting thereon, In the Five Cities Tlmes-Press-Recorder, a semi-
weekly newspaper of general circulation published and circulated within the City
of Arroyo Grande.
On motion of Councilman Schlegel, seconded by Councilman Millis and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Gallagher, Schlegel, Millis and Mayor de Leon
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Spierling
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 24th day of August, 1976.
