CC 2023-02-14_09g Supplemental 1 MEMORANDUM TO: City Council FROM: Jessica Matson, Legislative & Information Services Director/City Clerk SUBJECT: Supplemental Information Agenda Item 9.g. – Consideration of Appointments to the Architectural Review Committee; Community Service Grant Program Committee; and Arroyo Grande Tourism Business Improvement District Advisory Board DATE: February 14, 2023 The South County Chambers of Commerce has submitted a letter rescinding their recommendation to appoint David Glass to the Arroyo Grande Tourism Business Improvement District (AGTBID) Advisory Board. The letter is enclosed. The revised recommendation for this Item is as follows: 1) Appoint Glenn Martin to the ARC; and 2) Appoint Aileen Loe to the CSGPC. cc: City Manager Assistant City Manager/Public Works Director Interim City Attorney City Clerk City Website (or public review binder) Enc February 14, 2023 To the City Council of Arroyo Grande, I would like to rescind the recommendation for David Glass, as a candidate for the AGTBID Advisory Board. It was my understanding he managed short-term rentals, but that may in fact be incorrect regarding the location in Arroyo Grande. And even though he is a realtor in Arroyo Grande and his mother owns two Bed and Breakfasts in Arroyo Grande, this does not specifically qualify him to sit on the Advisory Board. We are currently looking specifically for lodging partners to join the AGTBID Advisory Board. I will reach back out to David for consideration in the future. I will also continue to pursue lodging partners to join our Board. Please do not hesitate to call me at the Chamber office at (805) 489-1488 with any questions. Sincerely, Kathy McCorry Kathy McCorry President l CEO South County Chambers of Commerce kathy@southcountychambers.com
