I do not understand WHY you would even consider something like this? Do you really think the people who are still insisting on having a green lawn will suddenly cut back if they are not penalized for it? How can you have restrictions if they are not enforced? And what about all the people who have spent thousands of dollars to change their landscaping away from water guzzling lawns because they were tired of paying the penalty fees only to find out if they had waited a few months it would all go away? This is so short-sighted. Do you really think the draught is over since we have had ONE rainy season? Especially since Lopez Lake isn’t even at full capacity like other reservoirs in SLO County. Please do the right thing and keep the penalties in place! Margie Gayley Always believe there is hope . . .
