A RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT PROCEEDINGS HAVE BEEN
INITIATED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN'1ND DESIGNATED "CORBETT
CANYON ANNEXATION NO.2", AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE
PROPOSED ANNEXATION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE:
1, That, pursuant to the provisions of Government Code Section 35303,and
35310, et seq" proceedings have been initiated b)' the Council of the City of
Arroyo Grande;' on its own motion 'and all 'the property ,owners of said territory,
have heretofbrefiled their <!onsent, to annex t,o the City of Arroyo Grande all
that uni~hab1ted territory situate in the County of San.Luis Obispo, Stete of
California, hereby designated as "Corbett Canyon Annexation No, 2" described as
follows:
All that land contiguous to the City of Arroyo Grande, in the County
of San Luis Obispo, State of California, included within the following: '
Lot 7 of the resubdivision of a part of the Rancho Corral de Piedra,
Pismo and Bolsa de Chemisal; in theCity of: Arroyo Gr~nde, County of
San LuisObtspo, State of California, a. per map filed in Book A,
page 63 of Mapa; in the office of the County Recorder of said
county, .
2, That the Council of the City of Arroyo Grande desires to annex said
uninhabited territory to the City of Arroyo Grande for the following reasons:
The territory is contiguous to the City of Arroyo Grande, and its proposed
annexation will contribute to and facilitate the orderly growth and development
of both the City and the territory proposed to be annexed; will facilitate and
contribute to the proper and orderly layout, design and construction of streets,
gutters, sidewalks, sanitary and storm water sewers and drainage facilities, both
within the City and within the territory proposed to be annexed; and will provide
and facilitate proper overall planning and zoning of lands, and subdivision of
lands in said City and said uninhabited territory, in a manner most conducive to
the welfare of said City and said uninhabited territory,
3, That the Local Agency Formation Commission of San Luis Obispo County,
California, did in session duly assembled on Thursday, June 27, 1974, approve
the proposed "Corbett Canyon Annexation No, 2" as above described, and as
submitted to said Commission by the Council of the City of Arroyo Grande,
4, That Tuesday, August 27, 1974, at the hour of 8:00 P,M, in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San
Luis Obispo, State of California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when
and where any person NOT owning'real property within the uninhabited territory
above described and proposed to be annexed to the City of Arroyo Grande, and
having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before the Council
of the City of Arroyo Grande and show cause why such uninhabited territory should
not be so annexed to said City of Arroyo Grande, Such protest must be in writing,
may be filed at any time prior to the final adjournment of the hearing on protests
to the proposed annexation, and shall state the name or names of the owner or
owners of property affected, and the description and area of such property, in
general terms,
5, The City Clerk of the City of Arroyo Grande is hereby authorized and
directed to cause a copy of this Resolution to be published at least once, in
the Five Cities Times-Press-Recorder, a newspaper of general circulation
published in said City of Arroyo Grande, the City to which it is proposed to
annex the aforesaid territory, said publication to be complete at least four (4)
days prior to the date set for hearing.

6. The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to be given to
such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto, in the manner required
by law.
On motion of Councilman Millis, seconded by Councilman Spierling and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Spierling, de Leon, Schlegel, Millis and Mayor Talley
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 13th day of August, 1974.

of San Luis Obispo, State of California, do hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution No. 1113 is a true, full and correct copy of said Resolution passed
and adopted by the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande at a regular
meeting of said Council held on the 13th day of August, 1974.
