A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMIVIISSION OF
THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE PROVIDING AN
INTERPRETATION OF SUBSTANTIAL CONFORMANCE
FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT CASE NO. 96-542,
VARIANCE CASE NO. 96-193, VARIANCE CASE NO. 96-
194, AND PLANNED SIGN PROGRAM CASE NO. 96-119
FOR 1164 GRAND AVENUE
VVI�REAS, the Development Code was adopted by the City Council on May 14, 1991,
and became effective on June 13, 1991; and
WHEREAS, Section 9-01.110 (G)(3) of the Development Code provides the Planning
Commission with the authority to clarify uncertainies within City approvals; and
V�'HEREAS, on February 20, 1996, the Planning Commission approved Conditional Use
Permit Case No. 96-542, Variance Case No. 96-193, Variance Case No. 96-194, and Planned
Sign Program Case No. 96-119 for a two-story, 3,280 square foot commercial building and
related site improvements at 1164 Grand Avenue in the GC zone; and
VVHEREAS, the Planning Commission has been requested to make a formal
interpretation as to whether the revised plans, identified as Exhibit "C", are in substantial
conformance with the plans approved by the Planning Commission on February 20, 1996; and
VVHEREAS, the Planning Commission, after due research and deliberation finds that: .
l. The proposed structural modifications do not affect the findings or conditions of approval
for Conditional Use Permit Case No. 96-542, Variance Case No. 96-193, Variance Case
No. 96-194, and Planned Sign Program 96-119; and
2. The revised plans comply with the development standards for the GC zone.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the City
of Anoyo Grande hereby makes the interpretation that the plans presented to the Planning
Commission on August 20, 1996 and marked Exhibit "C" are in substantial conformance with
the plans approved on February 20, 1996.
On motion by Commissioner Deviny, seconded by Commissioner Lubin, and by the
following roll call vote to wit:
AYES: Commissioners Deviny, Lubin, Keen, Titus and Tappan
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
