PC R 93-1404:28��' RESOLUTION NO. 93-1404 A ItESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPT THE UPDATED HOUSING ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN, ADOPT A NEGATIVE DECLARATION, AND FILE A NOTICE OF DETERMINATION AFrER THE 45 DAY REVIEW PERIOD BY HCD WHEREAS, the Section 65301 of the California Government Code directs all cities and counties to prepare General Plan Housing Element; and WHEREAS, the City of Anoyo Grande has determined that it is appropriate and necessary to update and revise the previous Housing Element adopted by the City; and WHEREAS, duly noticed public hearing were held by the Planning Commission of the City of Anoyo Grande on November 12, 1992, January 5, 1993 and January 19, 1993, at which all interested persons were given the opportunity to be heard; and WHEREAS, the public participation in the development of the Housing Element includes a public hearing on November 12, 1992 to elicit community concerns about the availability of affordable housing and special housing needs in Arroyo Grande; public hearing notices were distributed in both English and Spanish; and a Spanish interpreter was available to increase participation. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed and considered the information and public testimony presented at the public hearings and in the proposed documents and staff reports. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed this project in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and has determined that a Negative Declaration can be adopted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande, California to recommend to the City Council adoption of the updated Housing Element outlined in Attachment "A" -"Housing Element" after the required 45 day review period by the State Housing and Community Development Department. On motion of Commissioner Carr, seconded by Commissioner Tappan, and on the following roll call vote, to wit: AYES: Commissioners Moore, Tappan, Carr, Reilly, and Chairman Soto NOES: None ABSENT: None the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 19th day of January, 1993.
